Inspiration

Inspiration

This mind mapping program is good for users who are new to mind mapping. It includes built-in templates and enables you to move your ideas around and structure your work clearly using coloured bubbles and arrows. Hyperlinks, pictures, and other files can be added to the bubbles, and students can add their own images and pictures as well as using the symbol palette provided, in order to trigger memory and creativity. Inspiration can be linked to Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

DnA Review

“Inspiration is essentially mind-mapping software, buts its uses are extremely versatile. I never thought of myself as a “mind-mapping sort of person”, but I have found it useful for note taking, revision and for planning essays. Particularly in the early stages of essay planning, the “rapid-fire” function is a great way to crystallise early ideas, getting them onto the page quickly, which you can then re-order into a linear essay structure. This is where Inspiration really comes into its element, allowing you to quickly get ideas out without thinking about structure and presentation. This way, ideas don’t get lost, or muddled. Then, hyperlinks, images and notes can be attached, which is great for quickly accessing further information without becoming messy or overcomplicated. Now I can safely say that I am a 'mind-mapping sort of person'.”
