Read&Write GOLD from Texthelp is a text-to-speech package that supports difficulties with reading and writing by reading aloud the text on your screen. This tool can be used with Microsoft Word documents, emails, web pages and PDF documents, and features word highlighting to help with recognition. It is very useful for proof reading documents to check for grammar and spelling. Read&Write GOLD helps users with visual difficulties with features such as screen tinting. It also features screen masking, which blocks out any text not being read, aiding concentration.

Like Claro Read, it enables you to turn text files into audio files, which can be saved as mp3 files for use on portable devices, supporting your unique learning needs on-the-move. Functions that differ to Claro Read include built-in dictionaries, integrated mind-mapping tools, highlighting tools to capture text in different colours, and the ability to skip between words or sentences.
